Another test of the blogging network!

I am testing this to see if when I send an email in plain text, how it
will turn out on my blogger page. Reason being that I will not be able to
afford sending HTML messages from the Palmer while on my cruise. If this
looks good then I am going to send messages while in Antarctica so that
everyone can read what is going on.

Packing for Antarctica!

We are getting packed for the long trip to Antarctica.  So much needs to go with us that it feels as though we are moving the entire lab.  I know that this sounds just like the last trip that I wrote about but it is not.  This time around we will not be near any ports that could send a ship out to us to replace item like a Biospherical sensor.  What this means is that we must pack our instruments (GC’s, HPLC’s, UV-VIS ect.), all of the appropriate tools, any implements, items to conduct the experiments (this is huge), and all the neccesary parts to rebuild everthing from the ground up.  This means that we have at least two of everything.  All is going well though.  I have controled this type event many times before, only on a smaller scale.

I have great news: I received an email the other day from my professor.  It stated that he was declaring me his team leader for this Antarctic Nathan B. Palmer cruize.  I am very proud to be placed in this possition.  He stated He has excellent people skills and is an adept analyst; I trust him implicitly.”  This is a tremendous compliment coming from great scientist.

I will keep this up to date as things come nearer.

ideas

I have some new work up with my brother griegor at his site Incarnation Studios .  We have together constructed an MP3 player to allow him to display his music without giving users the chance to download and borrow (steal) his work.

So the purpose of this blog is to jot down a few random ideas.

  1. To show people that there is a volume control I think that there should be a fly-in VOLUME and have it morph into the headphones.
  2. Place a progress bar in under the song list box and above the streaming text.
  3. Add start and stop buttons.
  4. Add forward one song and backward one song buttons.
  5. Add a continuous play button and repeat button.
