Food in Bermuda
I am done making excuses about how sporadic these entries are, they just are. So I am in Bermuda on Research. Even though this is research it does not mean that I won’t come back a little more tan and a little bit fatter. Come on, this is Bermuda, and I have found out on this neophyte voyage that the food is expensive here not only because it is expensive to get it here or raise it but because they give you somewhere around three helpings on one gigantic plate. Then they come over with their fantastic British accent and ask you “aren’t you going to finish that, honey?” Guilted into engorging ourselves is a daily occurrence, I have just started not going out to eat and I am already feeling better. See I was warned that the food was expensive, not that meals were monstrous, and I brought a whole bunch of food with me, thank goodness for that because now I have the option of making my own dinner and not wasting all of that great Bermudian food. I say let someone else eat it.
