Mrs. Greene

Staying in Bermuda is not much more expensive than other places that I have stayed in the US. We have rooms, for a month at $130/day, in a great little Bed and Breakfast called The Greene’s Bed and Breakfast. Mrs. Greene runs the place almost totally by herself, manning the front door, answering the phone, cooking breakfast, cleaning and making up the rooms, laundry and anything else that I could be forgetting. I only know of one helper and that is the groundskeeper and once in a while a friend comes and helps out. So this extremely busy lady took the time last night to cook us an amazing Indian meal. There was way too much for us to eat but we did out best. She cooked (excuse my lack of knowledge in this department) seasoned chicken, chickpeas with spices and vegetables and an authentic chickpea soup. She also went as far as to make us a salad with many different veggies and Indian wraps for the food to be eaten with. On top of all that she made us an apple pie and ice cream. She has been great to us.

Research in Bermuda?

Yeah, this is correct. For all of you that think that I am full of it believe what you want but I am in Bermuda helping perform research on atmospheric particles. We are specifically interested in Aerosols that are formed from the ocean surface waters but also to find out how much is formed from land masses. The importance of aerosol and particle formation is particle involvement as cloud forming media. It is thought that the amount of particulate matter in the atmosphere can be a controlling factor in the formation of clouds. Clouds can in turn limit the amount of sunlight entering the earths atmosphere and act as a cooling element in global climate, simplifying this project to the subject of global climate modeling.
