To the woods i go.

Me, my bike and the woods. The way it should be. 14 great miles around and through Oakley Corners State Park i took a minute to stretch and enjoy the sun. Amazing day for a ride, amazing place for the soul.

Boilermaker Photo

The Boilermaker photographers sent out emails today trying to sell runners packets of action photos, each one totaling an entire mint. How about this photo? At least you can see my leg. I guess if I was photographing a huge race I would be focusing in on the girls too. Kerry, could have totally left me in the dust but she stuck it out with the 9 minute mile guy.

Cingular to AT and T?

I really did believe that the merging of these two huge companies was going to be very good for the reliability of my service and the availability of great new technology. I think everyone thought that this was going to be the case when the Apple iphone was made exclusive to Cingular and thus ATT. But now that we have change completely to ATT the network is suffering. I have had more trouble with missed calls and dropped calls then I ever had in the past, no matter what company I was with. I don't know if I can support this merger anymore, I will give ATT until the end of my latest service contract to figure out what is going on. If 3G technology does not turn out to be all that it is fabled to be then I am through with ATT.

Running the Boilermaker!

I have heard about this race for years and I never even looked into it. Why would I? I'm a weight lifter, mountain biker, soccer player, hiker and many things other than a runner. I would say that on occasion I am a jogger but not a runner. But this presented itself as a really fun option, according to those who have been involved in previous years the crowd involvement is unmatched by any other US event and a huge party with free everything at the end. But I was compelled by the feeling of accomplishment and the love for new competition. I did not finish in some amazing time but 1:26:33 in 94 degree heat amongst 11,000 people is more than fast enough for me. I will however be aiming at a much better time for next year.
